The quote I chose was “education, which should be helping youth to understand and adapt to their revolutionary environments, is instead being used merely as an instrument of cultural aggression”

This quote says a lot. I agree with this quote, instead of helping learn about new upcoming things in our world with all the technology changes, we are still taught about unimportant things that may or may not be relevant to either us or what we want to do in life. If this wasn’t bad enough, teacher usually takes a personal bias on certain topics or how something happened, even if that unprofessional, it still happens. When taught this way, our views get skewed on the event or subject being taught unless you knew about the subject previously.

This quote relates to media studies because Mr. Gange has an open minded course that allows all opinions to be accepted and doesn’t just tell us how and what we should learn about things. This quote could also be applied to other places other than education like the media. The media should help guide and educate us rather than shoving our own culture down our throat.
